Under our Roadmap Zero initiative, we set ambitious goals to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, in line with the Paris Climate Agreement’s objective of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Recognizing that raw materials, energy, chemicals, and natural resources are essential to our manufacturing processes, we proactively implement measures to minimize consumption and mitigate environmental impact.
Our Roadmap Zero objectives include reducing Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by 30% by 2025, 70% by 2030, and net-zero emissions by 2040, with an intermediate goal of achieving 100% renewable electricity usage by 2030, all compared to a 2019 baseline.
In addition to our decarbonization strategy, we implemented a suite of preventive measures to manage potential negative impacts to the environment. We strive to minimize waste, wastewater, water consumption, noise, and air emissions while also considering biodiversity, land use, deforestation, animal welfare, and soil and air quality in compliance with local regulations.
